Zvezda, Partizan, Fenerbahce, Olympiacos on latest Euroleague Basketball disciplinary sanctions

Partizan Mozzart Bet and Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet went on the receiving end of sanctions, stemming from the Belgrade derby in Round 15 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.

Besides fines for both sides, Zvezda was prohibited from having traveling fans in Round 19 opposite Anadolu Efes in Istanbul’s Turkcell Basketball Development Center on January 2. Also, Partizan was additionally fined for the throwing of objects on the court in the following home fixture in Round 16.

Sanctions to Fenerbahce Beko and Olympiacos were also announced, due to offensive fan chants during their respective home games in Round 16.

Beyond the EuroLeague, Cedevita Olimpija and Buducnost VOLI were penalized for incidents in Round 11 of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season.

Euroleague Basketball officially confirmed the latest disciplinary sanctions on Tuesday morning.

Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary decision pertaining to incidents that occurred in Rounds 15 and 16 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, as well as Round 11 of the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup Regular Season.

EuroLeague Round 15:

  • Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has been sanctioned with a fine of €59,000, for the repeated misuse of laser devices, object throwing, lighting of torches, chanting of offensive slogans, and inadequate control of court access allowing unauthorized entry on occasion of the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, under Articles 29.2. d), 29.2 e), 29.2 f), 29.2 g) and 29.2 h) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
  • Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has been sanctioned with a fine of €28,000, and the away game corresponding to Round 19 without away fans for Crvena Zvezda, for displaying an oversized flag blocking the scoreboard, chanting offensive slogans, and lighting and throwing torches after the game, requiring intervention from security and firefighters on occasion of the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, under Articles 29.1. g), 29.2 f) and 29.2 g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.

EuroLeague Round 16:

  • Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has been sanctioned with a fine of €12,000, for offensive chants and courtside seats’ protests on occasion of the game Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul – Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, under Articles 29.2. f) and 29.2 g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
  • Olympiacos Piraeus has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000, for offensive chants on occasion of the game Olympiacos Piraeus – Valencia Basket, under Article 29.2. f) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
  • Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has been sanctioned with a fine of €7,000, for the throwing of objects on the court, for which the game had to be stopped for around one minute on occasion of the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Virtus Bologna, under Article 29.2. g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.

BKT EuroCup Round 11:

  • Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has been sanctioned with a fine of €7,000, for the throwing of objects on the court, for which the game had to be stopped for around one minute on occasion of the game Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana – Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem, under Article 29.2. g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
  • Buducnost VOLI Podgorica has been sanctioned with a fine of €10,000, for excessive complaints made by Mr. Andrej Zakelj and Mr. Suad Sehovic after the game Dolomiti Energia Trento – Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, under Article 27.2. b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”
