Panathinaikos achieved victory in Round 18 of the EuroLeague, defeating Zalgiris in Kaunas with a final score of 92-85.
Cedi Osman led the winning team with 22 points (5/6 from three), Kendrick Nunn added one fewer, T.J. Shorts contributed 15 points along with ten assists while compensating for Kostas Sloukas’ absence, and Omer Yurtseven finished with 14 points.
For the home team, Moses Wright scored 22 points, Nigel Williams-Goss added 17, while Sylvain Francisco underperformed with just 3 points and four assists.
The match in Kaunas featured two completely different halves. Zalgiris dominated the first period, at one point holding a commanding 14-point lead (46-32). However, Panathinaikos managed to narrow the deficit by halftime (50-40), with everything changing in the second half.
Ergin Ataman’s team gradually closed the gap, with Cedi Osman delivering an exceptional performance during this stretch, leading the Greek squad to reverse the momentum and ultimately secure the victory.
Panathinaikos now stands at 12 wins and 6 losses, with their final first-half EuroLeague match bringing a major rivalry clash against Olympiacos. Zalgiris, meanwhile, holds a 10-8 record and will visit Hapoel Tel Aviv in the next round.
