Bastien Vautier named Round 18 EuroLeague MVP

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne’s Bastien Vautier secured Round 18 MVP honors after a career night in a 103-99 double-overtime win over Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

The rookie big man posted a career-high 28 points and 31 PIR, more than doubling his previous best (14 PIR in Round 1). Vautier also added 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and drew 8 fouls.

Real Madrid’s Facundo Campazzo led all players in PIR with 41, despite a 100-95 loss at AS Monaco. The Argentine guard scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half, including 14 in the final 99 seconds, adding 5 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals, and 6 fouls drawn.

Chima Moneke of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Dubai Basketball’s McKinley Wright both recorded a PIR of 30. Moneke posted 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 4 fouls drawn in Zvezda’s 102-92 loss at Paris Basketball. Wright had 19 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, and 8 fouls drawn as Dubai beat EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 99-92.

Jared Butler of Crvena Zvezda also impressed with a career-high 31 points, including 22 in the fourth quarter—the second-most in a single quarter in EuroLeague history—alongside 1 rebound, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 5 fouls drawn.
