Bayern defeated Maccabi 95-71 in Round 19 of the EuroLeague, in a game where Lonnie Walker IV suffered an injury.
Walker is likely the most important player on the Israelis’ roster, certainly their top scorer, but he only played six minutes in Germany. After that, he left the court and headed to the locker room, holding his left shoulder.
Unfortunately for Maccabi fans, Lonnie did not return to the game, and we’ll see how long he’ll be out.
Maccabi had been on a five-game winning streak, but Walker’s injury clearly impacted their chances against Bayern. In the next round, very likely without their leading scorer, they’ll visit Barcelona in four days.
Former Philadelphia player averages 16 points per game this season, with 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
