Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary decision pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 19 and Round 20 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.
Among those penalized are the clubs Crvena Zvezda and Virtus, as well as Ergin Ataman, the coach of Panathinaikos.
Round 19
- Virtus Bologna has been sanctioned with a fine of € 5,000 due to incidents generated by the public on occasion of the game Virtus Bologna – EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, under Article 29.2.g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
- Mr. Ergin Ataman, coach of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000 for comments regarding the officiating performance Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens – Olympiacos Piraeus, in accordance with Article 24.2.c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
Round 20
- Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has been sanctioned with fines amounting €25,000 due to incidents generated by the public on occasion of the game Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade – Valencia Basket, under Article 29.2.f) and g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code. This decision triggers the suspended sanction of an 80% limitation capacity in the club’s next home game, imposed on 10 December 2025.through Disciplinary Decision 18/2025-26.
- The protest filed by Zalgiris Kaunas on the scoresheet of the game Virtus Bologna – Zalgiris Kaunas has been dismissed.
Also, the round 24 clash between Partizan Mozzart Bet and Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv was officially relocated to Munich.
Per the press release: “The EuroLeague Regular Season Round 24 matchup between Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv will be played in Munich, at BMW Park, on Friday, January 23.
The game originally scheduled to be played in Belgrade has been relocated to Munich due to Belgrade Arena unavailability as per the celebration of the 2026 European Water Polo Championships for Men.”
