Following the arrival of Kassius Robertson and his debut in Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, Braian Angola moved on from Dreamland Gran Canaria to join LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old wing penned a contract for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, his new side announced.

Angola, a veteran of 29 appearances in the BKT / 7DAYS EuroCup and of 33 BCL games, is a newcomer in the EuroLeague. He meets the team coached by Pierric Poupet at 6-17 and tied in last place of the standings, seven games away from the Play-In Showdown zone. Moving to Round 24 of the Regular Season, the French club hosts FC Barcelona in Astroballe on Friday.

With a replacement in place, Gran Canaria started Group L of the Champions League’s Round of 16 with a home loss to Trieste. Shortly after landing in the Canary Islands, Robertson jumped in for head coach Jaka Lakovic, tallying 11 points with 3/11 field goals, three assists, one steal, and one rebound over 22:33 in Gran Canaria Arena on Tuesday.

Previously returning to the BCL, Angola averaged 13.2 points, 3.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per contest over six appearances in the Regular Season. Earlier experience in the league went from his debut with Filou Oostende in 2019 to AEK, Pinar Karsiyaka, and Galatasaray Nef.

Beyond the club level, the Colombian guard/forward has represented his country in the 2017 and 2025 editions of the FIBA AmeriCup, besides also earning caps in the FIBA World Cup 2027 and AmeriCup Qualifiers.
