Euroleague Basketball hands fines of 21,500 euros to Partizan

Partizan Mozzart Bet returned to the receiving end of sanctions by Euroleague Basketball on Thursday.

Per an official announcement, the Belgrade outfit was fined 21,500 euros for various incidents in the Round 22 fixture opposite Olympiacos in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on January 14.

Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary decision pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 22 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.

Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has been sanctioned with fines amounting €21,500 due to the lighting of flares and the throwing of objects onto the playing court on occasion of the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Olympiacos Piraeus, under Article 29.2.d) and g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

A 38-point win for the Reds then added to the current W-L tallies of 14-8 and 7-16 for the Greek and Serbian clubs, respectively. The team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas sits seventh and half a game away from the top six seeds, which guarantee a spot in the Playoffs 2026, while the team coached by Joan Penarroya is dealing with a six-game distance from the Play-In Showdown zone.

Midway through the latest double-game week, Olympiacos visits Anadolu Efes in Istanbul’s Turkcell Development Center on Thursday after a home win over Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv on Tuesday, and Partizan takes on leader Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv in Munich’s BMW Park on Friday after snapping a seven-game losing streak at the expense of FC Bayern Munich in SAP Garden on Tuesday.
