The chants performed by supporters of Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv in Round 24 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season resulted in a fine, following official complaints surrounding the game versus Panathinaikos Aktor in Menora Mivtachim Arena last week.

Upon review of the incidents, Euroleague Basketball confirmed the penalty on the Yellows on Thursday.

Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary decision pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 24 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.

Round 24

Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv has been sanctioned with a fine of €12,000, for the offensive chants performed by its fans on occasion of the game MACCABI RAPYD TEL AVIV – PANATHINAIKOS AKTOR ATHENS, under Article 29.2.f) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

After improving to 10-14 with a win over the Greens, and facing a separation of four games from the Play-In Showdown zone, the team coached by Oded Kattash takes on Valencia in Roig Arena, with measures for restricted attendance in place for Thursday’s meeting. Team captain John DiBartolomeo (groin) remains unavailable, similar to Zach Hankins (ankle) and Lonnie Walker IV (shoulder).

Resuming the continental campaign on Friday, Ergin Ataman’s side is set to clash with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in LDLC Arena without Kendrick Nunn (left ankle) and Mathias Lessort (left ankle). The current 14-10 W-L tally sits inside the Play-In seeds, distanced by one game from a direct ticket to the Playoffs 2026 and three from elimination, with 14 fixtures remaining in the regular-season schedule.
