Maccabi Tel Aviv secured a victory in Round 27 of the EuroLeague by defeating Crvena Zvezda away, with a score of 83-82.

An incredible match was played in Belgrade, and the visitors achieved victory after a dramatic finish. After Roman Sorkin missed two free throws, Jordan Nwora missed a shot for the win, and the red-and-whites couldn’t change the outcome even after an offensive rebound, resulting in a loss in the end.

Jimmy Clark was the top scorer for his team with 22 points, Jaylen Hoard added 15, as did Roman Sorkin, while Oshae Brissett scored 14. On the other hand, Jordan Nwora had 22 points, Jared Butler 14, as did Chima Moneke.

The two teams traded leads for most of the match, and aside from a double-digit advantage for Maccabi late in the first half, the game remained competitive throughout. In the end, the decision came down to the final moments.

It appeared that Maccabi would win more easily when they reached a seven-point lead with two minutes remaining (83-76).

However, Crvena Zvezda fought back, cutting it to minus one, and after Sorkin’s missed free throws, they had a chance to win. Nevertheless, Nwora was not accurate, the home team failed to score even after an offensive rebound, and Maccabi secured the victory from Belgrade.

Crvena Zvezda now stands at 16-11, and in the next round will travel to Olympiacos. On the other hand, Maccabi is at 12-15, and they face a match against Bayern.
