Olympiacos is rolling and reacted after losing in Dubai with total domination over Virtus Bologna.
The final score was 109-77, as the Greeks improved to 17-9 and took second place in the standings, while the Italians dropped to 12-15.
The 109 points are a season high for Olympiacos, which was firing on all cylinders.
The game was decided in the second period, when the home side led 37-11, and they didn’t look back after that.
Sasha Vezenkov with 20 points and Tyler Dorsey with 18 led a balanced offensive effort for the winners. In total, nine players scored at least seven points, with five of them scoring in double digits.
After trailing by one point (24-23) in the first period, Virtus didn’t have any answers, entering the last period down by 39 points (89-50).
Derrick Alston, with 16 points, was the top scorer of the losing side.
