Olympiacos faces a new setback, once again at the point guard position, as misfortune has struck Cory Joseph.
The 34-year-old American point guard has suffered a strain in his left hamstring.
The length of his absence will be assessed in the coming days, just as the countdown to the Greek Cup Final Eight has begun.
Olympiacos has at least five games scheduled for the rest of February, and it is expected that the former NBA player will miss most, if not all, of them:
Promitheas | Feb 8 | GBL
Crvena Zvezda | Feb 12 | EuroLeague
Iraklis | Feb 14 | GBL
AEK | Feb 17 | Greek Cup Final Eight
Zalgiris Kaunas | Feb 25 | EuroLeague
Cory Joseph had played his three EuroLeague games (4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.7 turnovers in 14:30) and his fourth game in red and white with his GBL debut (8 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 3 turnovers in 22:40).
His injury once again leaves Thomas Walkup carrying the full responsibility at the “1” position, as Frank Ntilikina and Monte Morris remain sidelined.
