Giannakopoulos: “No Hayes-Davis for Panathinaikos”

Nigel Hayes-Davis was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks following a trade from the Phoenix Suns, cleared the waivers list, and officially became a free agent. His next team remains uncertain, but it will not be Panathinaikos.

The club owner, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, announced via Instagram story that “NHD” turned down Panathinaikos’ offer, which was reportedly the most lucrative financially.

Panathinaikos had been pursuing the Final MVP from last year’s EuroLeague season, competing with his former team Fenerbahçe (2022–25) and Hapoel Tel Aviv. He is now officially out of the running.

Financially Panathinaikos offer on the table was the best, full filing the demands of the player. However, he is between Hapoel and Fenerbahce with the Israelis offering more.
