In addition to Kevin Punter sustaining a left thigh injury and being sidelined for two to four weeks, Tomas Satoransky was also forced into an early exit during last Friday’s victory against Kosner Baskonia in Round 27 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season. Dealing with back discomfort, the 34-year-old guard has officially been ruled out for Round 28’s clash with Paris at the Palau Blaugrana on Thursday.
“Kevin definitely will not be available against Manresa either, and we will have to see about his status for the Copa,” noted head coach Xavi Pascual during a pregame press conference on Wednesday. His comments referred to the team’s upcoming domestic challenges in Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season and the highly anticipated annual Copa del Rey.
Regarding Satoransky, the 53-year-old play-caller added: “We will see if he can make it by Sunday, and if so, whether he will be sufficiently fit to be available for the Copa del Rey.”
Further complicating the roster situation, Juan Nunez remains out following knee surgery and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Additionally, Tornike Shengelia and Dario Brizuela are currently battling illness, and both are considered questionable for the matchup against Paris.
Entering Round 28, Barca holds a 17-10 record, tying them with Valencia for third place in the EuroLeague standings. They currently sit 2.5 games behind leaders Fenerbahce Beko and just one game above the Play-In Showdown zone. Conversely, Paris ranks 18th with an 8-18 record, falling well shy of the playoff race.
