The 2024 NBA Draft 43rd overall pick, Nikola Djurisic, recently parted ways with the Atlanta Hawks and is set to join Crvena Zvezda, according to Meridian Sport.

As reported by the Serbian outlet, the 22-year-old is on the verge of signing a deal with the Belgrade EuroLeague outfit, after Zvezda insisted on his acquisition despite interest from other EuroLeague clubs.

Djurisic showed great promise from an early age, winning the EuroLeague Next Generation Finals with Mega in 2022 and earning MVP honors.

A year later, he won the ABA League Top Prospect award and, in 2024, entered the NBA Draft, where he was selected by the Miami Heat before being traded to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal.

He spent his first professional season overseas playing in the G League for the Hawks’ affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. Last summer, he signed a professional contract with Atlanta but ultimately did not make his NBA debut.

Now, he is set to return to his homeland and join Crvena Zvezda to compete in the ABA League and the EuroLeague.
