Zalgiris wins double-overtime drama against Olympiacos

What a game at Zalgirio Arena!

Zalgiris hosted Olympiacos and found itself 11 points down in the fourth quarter, but refused to give up. Tomas Masiulis’ team battled back, forced overtime, and after two extra periods secured a huge 99–94 win over the team from Piraeus.

Sylvain Francisco and Nigel Williams-Goss led the scoring for the hosts with 23 points each, while Moses Wright recorded an impressive double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Maodo Lo followed with 15 points, and Azoulas Tubelis added 10.

On the other side, Evan Fournier exploded for 32 points, a new EuroLeague career high, and grabbed nine rebounds, receiving strong support from Tyrique Jones, who contributed 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Tyler Dorsey added 16 points, scoring seven of them in overtime, but Olympiacos couldn’t win the day, missing both Sasha Vezenkov and Nikola Milutinov. Still, the losing side remains for the moment second in the standings with an 18-10 record, while Zalgiris improved to 17-12, knocking on the door of the 6th spot.
