Anadolu Efes recorded their 20th defeat of the season in the EuroLeague, as they were beaten by Crvena zvezda in Belgrade in the 29th round, with a score of 91-81.
Shane Larkin, the best player of the Turkish team, did not play in this match either, as he sat the entire game beside the bench, unable to help his teammates.
After the game, Efes coach Pablo Laso was asked about when we might expect to see Larkin back on the court. Laso expressed hope that Shane would be ready to help the team in the next match and, in a way, responded to Ibrahim Kutluay, who stated that the Spaniard planned to use Larkin in the Turkish Cup games.
“For me, he is helping the team already. For sure, we want him to recover as soon as possible that we can put him in the game. It would be very stupid from my part to push him to play if he’s not ready. So, I sincerely hope that he’ll be available for next game.”
Efes holds a 9-20 record and will play against ASVEL in Istanbul in the next round of the EuroLeague.
