Euroleague Basketball officially announced the relocation of three upcoming 2025–26 EuroLeague Regular Season fixtures on Friday.
These games involve Turkish clubs Fenerbahce Beko and Anadolu Efes, specifically scheduled visits to Israel for meetings with Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv and Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv.
Due to ongoing security concerns and recommendations from local authorities, the games have been moved to neutral territories.
Per the press release:
- The EuroLeague Regular Season Round 33 game between Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul will be played at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall at Belgrade, Serbia. The game will be played on Tuesday, March 24.
- The EuroLeague Regular Season Round 35 game between Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv and Anadolu Efes Istanbul will be played at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall at Belgrade, Serbia. The game will be played on Thursday, April 2 instead of Wednesday, April 1 as previously scheduled.
- The EuroLeague Regular Season Round 36 game between Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul will be played at ARENA 8888 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The game will be played on Tuesday, April 7.
These decisions have been taken considering the local authorities’ recommendations.
After Round 29, defending champions Fener lead the standings with a 21-7 record, holding a two-game advantage over second-placed Valencia. Hapoel sits in fifth place at 17-11. Meanwhile, Maccabi and Efes are currently outside the playoff spots at 14-15 and 9-20, respectively. These recent venue relocations come as the league enters the final stretch of the Regular Season.
