PAOK wants to play in the top level, no talks with EuroLeague yet

PAOK has recently been mentioned as a potential future EuroLeague participant.

The new situation in the Middle East, Monaco’s crisis, and ongoing concerns about ASVEL’s finances and readiness to play in the EuroLeague have brought some new clubs into the conversation, primarily PAOK.

In recent days, headlines have appeared suggesting that the ambitious project of the Greek club, which has already hired Andrea Trinchieri to lead them from the summer, could become a EuroLeague member starting next season.

However, based on our information, their path to the elite may first require a spot in the EuroCup, and much will become clearer after the next EuroLeague board meeting. PAOK has not yet been in talks with the EuroLeague about joining the EuroLeague.

After all, next season’s league format will be discussed in the next board meeting, and no decisions have been made yet. PAOK’s wish is to play on the top level, and the path to the EuroLeague may include the EuroCup.

Currently, PAOK is in fourth place in the Greek championship, with a record of 11-5.
