Olympiacos star Sasha Vezenkov to miss third straight EuroLeague game

Sasha Vezenkov has been ruled out for Tuesday’s clash against Paris and is now considered questionable for Thursday’s matchup with AS Monaco, while Monte Morris remains a game-time decision for the first leg of a EuroLeague double-week on the road for Olympiacos. The Reds resume the 2025-26 Regular Season schedule at the Adidas Arena before traveling to the Salle Gaston Medecin, but they must do so while managing a significantly depleted and uncertain rotation.

Missing Vezenkov is a massive blow to the Greek champions. Despite traveling to France, the 30-year-old forward has not recovered sufficiently from a lingering back injury to take the floor against Paris. This marks his third consecutive EuroLeague miss, and his status for the Monaco game remains precarious, depriving the team of its primary offensive engine for at least half the week. Vezenkov has been in MVP form this season, averaging 19.3 points and 6.9 rebounds over 27 starts. Without his elite floor-spacing, head coach Georgios Bartzokas faces the difficult task of replacing production against two of the league’s most athletic teams.

While Morris’s status offers a glimmer of hope, his own back issues have kept him limited, leaving the backcourt in a state of flux alongside the confirmed absences of Thomas Walkup and Giannoulis Larentzakis. These setbacks join the long-term recoveries of Keenan Evans and Moustapha Fall, leaving the roster stretched to its breaking point at a critical juncture.

Currently third in the standings with a 19-10 record, Olympiacos is fighting to secure home-court advantage for the playoffs.
