In a postponed game from the 14th Round, Olympiacos beat Fenerbahce BEKO 104-87 as Evan Fournier had his best-ever EuroLeague game.
The French star finished the night with 36 points, as Olympiacos improved to a 21-11 record, and remains second in the EuroLeague standings behind Fenerbahce (22-9).
Sasha Vezenkov added 24 points for the winning side. Talen Horton-Tucker also scored 30 points, which were not enough for the guests.
It was a strange game, since Monte Morris, Corey Joseph, and Tyrique Jones from Olympiacos, and also Chris Silva and Nando De Colo from Fenerbahce, were not eligible to play, having signed with their teams after the initial postponement.
On top of that, Fenerbahce did not have injured Nicolo Melli, Devon Hall, and Mikael Jantunen.
Still, the game was close until the last period, with Olympiacos having a two-point halftime lead (48-46). The hosts, led by 10 (65-55) midway through the third period, entered the last quarter up by seven (74-67), and Fenerbahce closed the gap to three (78-75) with eight minutes left.
That set the stage for Fournier scoring 10 straight points and pushing the lead to 11 (88-77). Olympiacos’ advantage ballooned to 17 points (98-81), and the game was over.
