Dejan Bodiroga, president of Euroleague, has hinted that developments regarding the competition could be announced in the near future, while reaffirming the league’s strong trajectory and continued growth.
Speaking to LBA TV, Bodiroga emphasized that the EuroLeague remains in a powerful position within European basketball:“I believe it is moving in the right direction. The Euroleague today is very strong and improving year after year. We need to find solutions together with all stakeholders in basketball that work for everyone.”
He also underlined the importance of maintaining open dialogue across the sport:“We are keeping conversations open with all parties. There will be news soon, but right now we are focused on finishing the season in the best possible way.”
Serbian basketball legend returned to Milan with warmth and nostalgia as Olimpia Milano celebrated its historic figures at the Forum, sharing memories of one of the most successful chapters of his career.
Speaking to LBA TV, Bodiroga expressed his deep connection to the city and its fans. “It is always a great pleasure and emotional moment to come back to Milan,” he said. “My best memories? It was a fantastic year, winning both the Italian Cup and the league title.”
He recalled a decisive basket during the finals but was quick to emphasize the collective effort behind the triumph. “That shot was important in the final series, but it was a team victory. It was a difficult start to the season, but we managed to bring home a championship that had been missing for several years. With this crowd and these people, it remains a beautiful memory.”
Bodiroga also paid tribute to his former coach Bogdan Tanjević, highlighting his influence on his career. “Tanjević played a huge role for me. He brought me to Trieste, gave me the chance to play as a foreigner in a tough and important league. I feel very connected to him — he was truly important in my career.”
