Joffrey Lauvergne attended the EuroLeague game between his former teams, Partizan and ASVEL.

The French big man left a deep mark in Belgrade, becoming the first foreign captain in Partizan’s history during his stint from 2012 to 2014, when he won the ABA League and two Serbian championships.

Speaking about a potential return, Lauvergne made his intentions clear:

I’ve always said that I want to finish my career at Partizan. That’s my goal. We’ll see if it’s possible in the future, but that’s what I want,” Lauvergne told Serbian media.

The role would not matter, the Frenchman insists.

It doesn’t matter to me. I just want to finish at Partizan. I heard the president suggested I should come back. We’ll see,” Lauvergne added in Serbian.

Partizan president Ostoja Mijailović recently revealed that he wanted to bring Lauvergne back already this season, and also expressed a desire to have him return next year and finish his career in black and white.
