Bayern’s strong fourth quarter ends their losing streak

Bayern Munich secured a victory in the 34th round of the EuroLeague, defeating ASVEL 93-83 in front of their home fans.

Justinian Jessup led the Germans to victory with 17 points, Andreas Obst added 15 off the bench, Xavier Rathan-Mayes scored 12, David McCormack 11, and Wenyen Gabriel 10.

On the other side, Armel Traore had 14 points, Thomas Heurtel scored 13 and provided nine assists, Braian Angola added 11 points, while Bastien Vautier had ten.

In one of the few matches at this stage of the competition with little significance for standings, Bayern secured a home victory with a brilliant fourth quarter. The match was fairly even for the most part, with Bayern entering the final ten minutes with just a one-point lead (64-63).

Neither team managed to build a significant lead until the very end. Then the hosts made a 9-0 run, pulling ahead to 93-81 and securing the win.

Bayern now stands at a 14-20 record, having ended a three-game losing streak in the EuroLeague, and will host Fenerbahce in the next round. On the other hand, ASVEL is at the bottom with a record of 8-26, and will play against Olympiacos at home in the next round.
