Baskonia secured a victory in the 34th round of the EuroLeague, defeating Hapoel Tel Aviv in a spectacle in Vitoria, played behind closed doors, with a score of 118-109.

Trent Forrest was the top scorer for the winning team with 22 points, Mamadou Diakite added 15, Kobe Simmons 14, while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot contributed 13, in a team that had seven players scoring in double digits.

On the other hand, Elijah Bryant was the best for Hapoel with 26 points, Dan Oturu had 21, and Antonio Blakeney scored 19.

An incredible match was played in Spain, breaking several records. In the first half alone, which was quite efficient, we saw as many as 131 points – the most in the history of any EuroLeague half. Until now, 120 was the highest number of points in a first half in the Real Madrid – Maccabi game, while 125 points were once scored in the second half of the Monaco – Paris game.

Although Baskonia scored 100 points two days ago, the Spanish team was quite efficient again. Baskonia scored 93 points in three quarters, maintained a double-digit lead in the final quarter, and ultimately preserved their advantage without any issues.

Baskonia achieved their milestone tenth victory with 24 losses, and in the next round, they will host Real Madrid. On the other hand, Hapoel is fifth with 20 wins and 13 losses, and they will now host Panathinaikos.
