Sterling Brown rose to the occasion in one of the most dramatic games of the season, leading Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade to a 110–104 double-overtime victory over Valencia Basket and claiming Round 34 MVP honors.
Brown finished with a PIR of 32 — the highest among players on winning teams — after scoring 31 points on efficient shooting, while adding seven rebounds, two assists, a steal, and drawing six fouls. The award marks the first MVP of the Round recognition of his EuroLeague career, as well as the first for a Partizan player this season.
Despite Brown’s heroics, Jordan Loyd of Anadolu Efes Istanbul recorded the highest PIR of the round (35) in a loss to Real Madrid, finishing with 21 points, five rebounds and six assists. Elie Okobo followed with a PIR of 34 in AS Monaco’s loss to Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, posting 24 points and 13 assists.
Zach LeDay of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Elijah Bryant of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv each registered a PIR of 31. LeDay had 19 points and eight rebounds in Milan’s win over Virtus Bologna, while Bryant scored 26 points in Hapoel’s loss to Baskonia.
Among other individual leaders, Okobo topped the round in assists with 13, Mfiondu Kabengele of Dubai Basketball grabbed 12 rebounds, Arijan Lakić of Partizan recorded four steals, and Mbaye Ndiaye of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne led all players with five blocks.
Four players recorded double-doubles in Round 34: Okobo (24 points, 13 assists), Jimmy Clark (23 points, 10 assists), Kabengele (24 points, 12 rebounds), and Thomas Heurtel (13 points, 10 assists).
