The second Bouncing for Good season concluded at the Astroballe in Lyon, where LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne hosted students from Pasteur Primary School for workshops focused on core values like teamwork and self-care.
In an announcement on Tuesday, Euroleague Basketball and Motorola confirmed that a special recap video featuring highlights and testimonials from the various locations will be released soon to celebrate the program’s impact.
Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball and Motorola brought the second season of “Bouncing for Good” to a close in Lyon, alongside LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, marking the final stop of a European tour that reached hundreds of children across Belgrade, Valencia, London, Hamburg, Athens, Bologna and Lyon (Villeurbanne).
The last event took place at the Astroballe, where students from Pasteur Primary School, an area facing socio-economic challenges and limited access to extracurricular activities, participated in a day designed to promote respect, self-care, effort, teamwork, and enjoyment through sport, both on and off the court.
As in all previous ‘Bouncing For Good’ stops, the day started with a workshop guided by ASVEL’s One Team coaches. Through a series of engaging activities – including team challenges, memory games, and creative exercises such as the “Perfect Ball Painting” activity – the children explored key values such as respect, self-care, effort, teamwork, and fun, while also connecting basketball with everyday life lessons.
Later on, the day concluded with a basketball donation and on-court exercises, where ASVEL One Team Ambassadors Shaquille Harrison and Adam Atamna joined U18 players and representatives from Euroleague Basketball and Motorola, giving the kids the chance to keep playing beyond the event while sharing a special moment together.
“It was an amazing experience to be here with the kids today,” said Harrison. “You can see how much joy and energy they bring, and that’s what makes events like this so special. Programs like ‘Bouncing for Good’ are really important because they give opportunities to children, inspire them, and show how sport can bring people together and make a positive impact.”
‘Bouncing For Good’ will stop for this season having positively impacted hundreds of participants across the continent. But more news will come soon as well as a special recap video highlighting all the special memories and testimonies from those who participated in it.”
