EuroLeague has a new leader.
Olympiacos defeated ASVEL on the road 82–74, improving to 23–12 and moving into first place in the standings thanks to a superior head-to-head record over Fenerbahce, which holds the same record after 35 rounds.
Sasha Vezenkov led the way for the Piraeus side with 23 points and seven rebounds, while Donta Hall added 14 points and six boards. Nikola Milutinov narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, and Tyler Dorsey chipped in 13 points.
Moustapha Fall, who recently returned to the team after a long injury layoff, did not feature in the game.
On the other side, Melvin Ajinca paced ASVEL with 17 points, while Brian Angola followed with 14. Thomas Heurtel came close to a double-double, finishing with eight points and nine assists.
