Fenerbahce take commanding 2–0 lead over Zalgiris

Fenerbahce Beko moved within one win of the Final Four after a convincing Game 2 victory over Zalgiris Kaunas in Istanbul, taking a 2–0 lead in the best-of-five EuroLeague playoff series. After an 89–78 win in Game 1, the hosts once again made full use of their home-court advantage.

The defending champions secured a comfortable 86-74 win, putting themselves in a strong position ahead of the series shifting to Kaunas, where they will have their first chance to close it out.

It was a collective offensive effort from Fenerbahce, with Niccolo Melli leading the way with 17 points. Nando De Colo followed with 16, while Tarik Biberovic added 15. Mikael Jantunen contributed 13, and Wade Baldwin finished with 11 points and seven assists.

For Zalgiris, Azoulas Tubelis and Moses Wright both scored 16 points, while Sylvain Francisco added 11 in a losing effort.

Fenerbahce set the tone early, controlling the boards and building an advantage in the opening stages. They maintained control throughout most of the game, with disciplined execution on both ends of the floor, and stretched the lead to as many as 23 points to seal another dominant playoff performance.
