After two games, Panathinaikos leads 2-0 against Valencia, having defeated Pedro Martinez’s team for the second time away, with a score of 107-105.
The game was decided after overtime, with the buzzer, when Hayes-Davis scored to bring victory to his team.
After the match, the power forward of Panathinaikos shared his view of the game and stated that PAO probably has the best fans in the world.
“We did a good job. We didn’t do a very good job on defense this time, we let them get a lot of offensive rebounds. There are things we need to correct if we want to win again.
We are playing 2-2-1 series. Actually, as a lower seed, our goal was to win at least one game here, but we won both. Now we have the luxury of returning to Athens to play in front of ‘probably the world’s best fans.’ I hope they support us in the best way possible, and we do the very best we can.”
The next game is scheduled in Athens on May 6th.
