Euroleague Basketball shared additional details on Friday.

Per the press release: “The 2025–26 EuroLeague Regular Season has set a new benchmark across all fan engagement platforms, delivering record-breaking growth in television viewership, digital reach, and in-arena attendance.

Driven by increasing global interest and deeper fan connection, the competition has reached unprecedented heights, surpassing 508 million in total TV audience, exceeding 1.4 billion social media video views for the first time, and welcoming over 3.25 million spectators to arenas.

These milestones collectively reflect the EuroLeague’s accelerating international expansion and its strengthening position as one of the world’s premier sport competitions.

TV AUDIENCE

The league’s television audience has shown strong and sustained growth during the opening stretch of the Regular Season. Across the first 25 Rounds, global TV viewership reached 122.8 million (live and delayed), marking an 82% increase compared to the same period last season.

Growth in live game audiences has been particularly notable across key markets, highlighting the expanding international appeal of the league. The Balkans recorded a remarkable 103% increase, while Italy and Israel posted strong gains of 77% and 76%, respectively. France saw a 23% rise, with Turkiye and Spain also contributing solid growth at 16% and 10% and Germany has also maintained its cumulative audience despite having one fewer representative.

This upward trend has been driven by a notable rise in fan engagement with both live and delayed game action, as well as highlights consumption. Combined viewership across these formats grew by 8%, with 508.17 million fans tuning in to follow the competition more closely than ever before.

These results highlight the league’s growing global reach and the increasing demand for high-quality live basketball content among fans worldwide.

SOCIAL MEDIA

For the first time in league history, the EuroLeague’s social media ecosystem reached a combined League and participating clubs audience of 47.1 million followers. EuroLeague owned platforms total video views surpassed the one-billion milestone, climbing to an impressive 1.49 billion views over the course of the regular season with impressions achieving more than 3 billion. These achievements mark a significant moment in the league’s continued global expansion and digital evolution.

This substantial growth continues the trend observed over the past five seasons, with EuroLeague-owned platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and Youtube) recording double- and triple-digit increases across every key performance indicator since the 2021–22 season.

Compared to the 2021–22 regular season, total reach has increased by 215%, representing an additional 748,314,975 users, while impressions have surged by 478%, adding 2,544,006,487. Video views have recorded one of the most significant gains, rising by 1,067% with an increase of 1,367,139,270. Engagement has also grown strongly, up 319% for an additional 57,595,385 interactions, while the total follower base has expanded by 80%, equating to 2,130,579 new followers.

IN-ARENA ATTENDANCE

Finally, fan attendance at EuroLeague Regular Season games reached unprecedented levels, setting a new all-time record with 3,251,706 spectators filling arenas across the competition. This represents an increase of 232,652 fans compared to the previous season, marking an 8% growth and further strengthening the EuroLeague’s in-arena experience.

This milestone could have been even higher, as several clubs were required to relocate home games throughout the season, often operating with reduced capacity, without spectators, or behind closed doors due to external circumstances.”
