Fenerbahce beats Zalgiris in overtime, joins Olympiacos and Real Madrid at Final Four

Fenerbahçe Beko is the third participant in the 2025/26 EuroLeague Final Four.

The defending champions had to work extremely hard to close out the series against Žalgiris, eventually defeating Tomas Masiulis’ side 94-90 in overtime in Game 4 in Kaunas.

Khem Birch was the anchor of Fenerbahçe throughout the night, delivering a massive all-around performance with 21 points and 13 rebounds for a PIR of 31 — with only the rebounds falling short of his EuroLeague career highs. Talen Horton-Tucker followed with 21 points and six boards, while Nicolo Melli added 10 points and nine rebounds. Wade Baldwin IV contributed 14 points, five rebounds and five assists.

On the other side, Sylvain Francisco did everything he could to extend the series and send it back to Istanbul for Game 5, finishing with 23 points and 11 assists, but it was not enough. Ąžuolas Tubelis followed with 16 points and five rebounds, Edgaras Ulanovas added 15 points, while Dustin Sleva chipped in 11 for Žalgiris. Moses Wright finished with nine points and seven rebounds.

It always felt like the game would be decided by the smallest details — and that’s exactly how it unfolded in Kaunas. Žalgiris led in the final seconds after Francisco calmly converted free throws, but with 5.5 seconds left, Šarūnas Jasikevičius drew up a final play that Baldwin turned into a game-tying basket to force overtime.

In the extra period, Birch once again stepped up on both ends of the floor, while Horton-Tucker also delivered key plays after his important basket late in regulation, helping Fenerbahçe secure a hard-fought win and another Final Four appearance.

Fenerbahçe is now set to face Olympiacos in the EuroLeague Final Four at OAKA Arena.
