Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. has already turned its attention toward next season following its EuroLeague playoff elimination against Real Madrid Baloncesto.
According to report from Israeli outlet Sport5, the club is preparing for significant organizational and roster changes after completing its first-ever EuroLeague season.
One of the biggest developments could be the budget increase. Hapoel reportedly operated this season with a budget of around 200 million shekels (approximately €58 million), while next year’s figure is expected to rise by around 30 percent — potentially reaching 260 million shekels (around €76 million).
The club also plans to abandon the “two separate rosters” model used this season.
“We learned our lesson this year — next season there won’t be two teams. There will be one deep roster, and every player will be able to play both in the EuroLeague and in the domestic league,” club sources reportedly said to Sport5 after the loss to Real Madrid.
