Valencia Basket continues to strengthen its project. The orange-clad club, which recently qualified for its first-ever Final Four after a comeback victory against Panathinaikos, has announced the renewal of a key player in future Spanish basketball.

Álvaro Cárdenas, who went on loan to Peristeri after his time in the NCAA, will remain part of the Valencia family until 2028, as announced by the club in a statement:

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with point guard Álvaro Cárdenas (1.85m, Granada, 04/29/2002, 24 years old) to extend his contract with the club, which, following this renewal, will run until the end of the 2027-28 season. After ending his loan at Peristeri Betsson following the team’s elimination in the quarterfinals of the Greek league playoffs, the player joined our first men’s team training this Friday and has been registered in the Liga Endesa, so he could participate in national competition games until the end of the season.

With Peristeri’s season over, Álvaro Cárdenas has joined Valencia Basket, as the club has announced. He has been registered with the Liga Endesa and could therefore play in the final phase and playoffs.
