Alongside EuroLeague legend and former Monaco coach Vassilis Spanoulis, there was a familiar NBA face sitting during the EuroLeague Final.
As L’Equipe has reported and Eurohoops can confirm, former NBA player Jamal Mashburn is a potential new investor in Monaco.
Mashburn had meetings during his team in Athens with EuroLeague officials and was also present in the EuroLeague gala on Saturday night.
Can he be the savior of Monaco? That remains to be seen since this is not the first time he is involved in European basketball.
Back in 2021, he was part of a consortium together with Rick Pitino, Greek national team coach at the time, and former NBA vice-president Stu Jackson, which bought Pau-Orthez only to sell it back to local owners after one year and with the club facing at the time the danger of relegation to amateur level.
