Shaq McKissic announced the end of his presence with the Olympiacos team with a message on his Instagram account, which concluded with seven words written in Greek: “Thank you from the heart. Olympiacos forever.”
The 35-year-old McKissic is departing from the “red and whites” after 7 seasons, during which he won one EuroLeague, four championships, four Cups, and three Super Cups.
“Seven seasons, one jersey, one home. Piraeus gave me more than just a team. It gave me a family,” wrote the American guard.
He continued his emotional message: “Thank you for embracing me from day one and making Greece home for me and my family. The memories, the championships, the Final Fours, and every moment in red and white will stay with me forever.
For seven seasons, I wore the number 77 with pride and gave everything for the team, the city, and the fans. Whatever happens in the future, Olympiacos will always be a part of me.
Thank you from the heart. Olympiacos forever.”
