Elijah Bryant blossomed in Hapoel Tel Aviv after a great season in Anadolu Efes, and his commitment to the Israeli club was just extended.
Per the press release: Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv basketball club is pleased to announce the extension of the contract of team player Elijah Bryant until the end of the 2028/29 season.
Bryant arrived at the club in the summer of 2025 and was part of the historic debut season in the Euroleague and qualifying for the playoffs, which guaranteed Hapoel another season in Europe’s top league.
The guard played 38 games last season in the EuroLeague, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.7 steals, 59.6% from two, 37.2% from three, and an efficiency rating of 19.6, which earned him a spot in the league’s top five this season. In the Winner’s Basket League, Bryant played six games in the regular season, averaging 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 51.5% from two, 41.7% from three, and an efficiency rating of 16.3.
Elijah Bryant expressed his satisfaction with the new deal: “I’m very excited to continue in red, and I can’t wait to meet everyone again. I’m already looking forward to getting back to work and continuing the hard work.”
Team manager, George Hinas, said: “After a breakout season, in which he took on a lot of responsibility, Elijah remains with us as a very important anchor in our squad. A complete and stable player in everything he does.”
Head coach, Dimitris Itoudis, added: “We are very happy that Elijah continues with us, hoping that after the surgery, he will come back healthier and even better. He was in the top five this season, and he set a high standard for himself and the team. He knows and says that he can even improve more, and we are so happy that such a professional is with us and will continue with us for several more years.
