Real Madrid continues to reshape its roster for next season.
Following the departure of Trey Lyles, the club is looking to strengthen the power forward position, and Mikael Jantunen appears to be the chosen one
According to Eurohoops sources, the former Fenerbahçe player, recently released by the Turkish team, is of interest to the Spanish club, which is in advanced talks to sign him.
The former Paris Basketball player didn’t quite fit in with the Istanbul team and, despite rumors linking him to Valencia Basket, he could be the player selected to reinforce Pedro Martínez’s squad.
Jantunen, 26, is one of the most sought-after shooters on the market.
In his single year with Fenerbahçe, he averaged 6.4 points and 4 rebounds per game in the 36 games he played under Jasikevicius.
Real Madrid, after signing Pedro Martínez and Jaime Pradilla, and close to acquiring Luwawu-Cabarrot, continues to add important figures to a roster very different from last season’s.
Jantunen could be the sharpshooting power forward they’ve been searching for for so long.
