Sasha Vezenkov has earned his master’s degree from the National Sports Academy of Bulgaria, with the ultimate goal of becoming a basketball coach. While currently excelling in the EuroLeague and Greece’s Stoiximan GBL with Olympiacos, and rightfully earning millions of euros, he is already securing his future in the sport.

The Most Valuable Player of the EuroLeague and champion received his second bachelor’s degree certificate from the academy’s rector, Krasimir Petkov. According to the website btvsport.bg, the Reds superstar had obtained a basketball coaching diploma last year as a graduate of the same institution.

Vezenkov attended the graduation ceremony alongside his father, who expressed strong confidence that earning both an undergraduate and a postgraduate degree from the academy will greatly assist his son in becoming a skilled and successful coach. His father noted that Sasha already demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the game.

The player himself stated that his education at the Sports Academy represents the first and highly significant step in his plans to dedicate himself to coaching once his playing career comes to an end.

With these academic milestones, Vezenkov is mapping out a long-term future in professional basketball that extends far beyond his days on the court, a transition that is certainly not happening anytime soon, given that he turns 31 in August.

On the court, he relies on far more than just his innate and highly refined talent. He is guided by a sharp basketball IQ, deep game comprehension, and tactical awareness, qualities that will undoubtedly serve as powerful assets when he moves to the sidelines in the years to come.
