Hapoel Tel Aviv announced the signing of Eugene German for the 2026-27 season.

The 28-year-old guard started last season with the Beijing Ducks, averaging 18.3 points, 4.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 40.1% from three-point range. He later moved to Indios de Mayaguez in Puerto Rico, recording 17.4 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds across eight appearances.

German began his professional career with Ionikos in Greece before playing for Merkezefendi in Turkey and several Chinese clubs, including the Qingdao Eagles, Fujian Sturgeons and Beijing Ducks.

I’m very excited to join this organization and this team,” German said. “I’ve heard about the fans, and you can expect me to bring energy every moment I’m on the court and give everything. Let’s win a championship together.”

Hapoel head coach Dimitris Itoudis highlighted German’s scoring versatility and motivation ahead of what will be his first EuroLeague campaign.

Eugene can create points in several ways and contribute in different areas,” Itoudis said. “He understands the step he is taking in his career and is highly motivated to join the family and improve his game alongside our excellent roster.”
