Armoni Brooks is expected to become the next summer signing to leave ASVEL amid the French club’s financial uncertainty.
The 28-year-old guard is in active talks with several EuroLeague teams. Partizan has withdrawn its interest, while Real Madrid remains among his possible destinations.
Brooks joined ASVEL earlier this summer as part of an ambitious project that also included Sylvain Francisco, Nick Weiler-Babb and others. However, the club was forced to significantly revise its plans after failing to finalize an investment agreement on time.
ASVEL’s projected budget reportedly fell from €59 million to around €24 million, leaving the futures of several high-profile additions uncertain. Francisco has already departed without playing a game for the club, joining Panathinaikos after the Greek side paid a €450,000 buyout.
