Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv officially announced the signing of Armando Bacot Jr. on a two-year contract.
The 26-year-old American center moves to Israel after spending the 2025-26 season with Fenerbahce, where he played alongside his new Maccabi teammate Bonzie Colson and won the Turkish League, Cup and Super Cup.
“Armando Bacot is a player we have been following for a long time. He is a talented big man with offensive skills at a very high level,” head coach Oded Kattash said. “We are confident that he still has plenty of room to improve, and we like that. He is an intelligent player with a high basketball IQ. We are happy he is joining us and are looking forward to working together.”
Bacot averaged 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in approximately ten minutes per game during his debut EuroLeague campaign. In the Turkish championship, he recorded 6.0 points and 3.7 rebounds over 17.5 minutes per appearance.
The 2.08-meter center previously spent five years at North Carolina before beginning his professional career with the Memphis Hustle in the G League. Across 50 appearances, he averaged 16.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
“I am very excited to join a historic organization like Maccabi Tel Aviv and help the team win and improve,” Bacot said after signing his contract.
