Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv is gearing up for a major counterattack. The club’s financial ambitions clearly signal this shift, with the basketball operations budget for the 2026–2027 season seeing a massive $7 million increase compared to the previous year.

With these financial maneuvers, the Yellows have completed their powerhouse roster heading into the upcoming edition of the EuroLeague and domestic competitions in Israel.

According to a report by Israel Hayom on Monday, German big Daniel Theis commands the largest contract on the team at $2.2 million. In a staggering show of financial depth, Maccabi features a total of 10 players who will earn at least $1 million this season.

Following close behind Theis is one of the summer’s most talked-about and controversial transfers, Yam Madar. The Israeli guard, earning $2 million, made headlines by leaving Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv to join the rival side of the city.

In total, Maccabi’s player salaries sum up to an $18.5 million payroll. However, they still trail Hapoel, whose budget is currently hovering near the $20 million mark.
