Baskonia have announced the signing of Kenneth Faried, adding the experienced American big man to their frontcourt for the 2026-27 campaign.
The 36-year-old spent last season with Panathinaikos, arriving when the Greek club faced significant problems at the center position. He made an immediate impact, earning EuroLeague MVP of the Month honors in November.
Faried ultimately appeared in 35 EuroLeague games, averaging 5.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and a 6.6 performance index rating. He also won the Greek Cup with Panathinaikos, although he did not play in the final.
His role diminished later in the season, and he was left out of the roster for all five Greek League finals against Olympiacos. After leaving Panathinaikos, he joined Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico.
Faried arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz with more than 450 NBA appearances, having spent seven seasons with the Denver Nuggets before also playing for the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets. He previously featured in the EuroLeague with CSKA Moscow during the 2021-22 season.
