Milan is setting its sights on a homecoming, targeting the 2030 EuroLeague Final Four with an official bid centered around the brand-new Unipol Dome in the Santa Giulia district, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
This ambitious Italian campaign comes as the continent’s leading hoops roadmap for the coming years takes shape. Abu Dhabi is already secured to host the showcase in both 2027 and 2029 under existing multi-year agreements, while Valencia has emerged as the primary candidate for the 2028 edition with its state-of-the-art Roig Arena.
Consequently, Milan’s strategic focus looks toward the turn of the decade, aiming to bring the ultimate championship weekend back to Lombardy and reignite local enthusiasm.
Securing the championship-crowning tournament of the 2029–30 season would signal a nostalgic yet modern return for the event to the city, which last hosted the spectacle back in 2014. That memorable Final Four at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago concluded with Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv raising the trophy after an iconic thriller, immortalizing Tyrese Rice as the Most Valuable Player.
Presenting their bid and building on that legacy, stakeholders fully intend to position Milan at the absolute center of the international stage once more. If successful, the cutting-edge infrastructure will provide the setting for the crowning of the next king in the Old Continent, welcoming back a grand tradition with top four EuroLeague clubs competing in a single-elimination Semifinals, followed by the championship game.
