Kosner Baskonia and Ukrainian center Alex Len have mutually agreed to terminate the contract that linked the player with the Spanish club, following discomfort in his foot during his first training session with the team.
Len arrived in Vitoria and successfully completed his medical examinations before joining his new teammates for his first practice. However, after the session, the 32-year-old center experienced discomfort in his foot in an area that had already been treated during the previous season.
Given the nature of the issue and the timing of its emergence, Baskonia and Len decided to seek additional medical opinions before determining the appropriate course of action.
Although there are no indications of a new injury, both parties ultimately agreed that, under the circumstances and at this stage of the season, terminating the contract by mutual consent was the best option. The decision will allow Len to take the necessary time to address the discomfort and prepare for the next stage of his career.
Len expressed his gratitude to Baskonia, its staff, players and supporters for their professionalism and support during his brief time with the organization.“I would like to thank Baskonia, its staff, players and fans for their professionalism and support during the short time I have spent with the organization. I wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season.”
Baskonia also wished Len the best for the future as the two sides bring their brief association to an end.
