Gabriel Deck’s left shoulder injury is more serious than Real Madrid initially expected, head coach Pedro Martinez revealed after his team’s 120-83 victory over Manresa.
The Argentine forward was injured on Tuesday and missed Madrid’s EuroLeague win over Partizan. His recovery timeline has yet to be determined.
“Initially, the injury is more serious than we thought. But I don’t know the exact timeline or the treatment he will receive,” Martinez told reporters.
The coach added that he expects the club to provide an update on Deck’s condition soon.
Deck previously experienced problems with the same shoulder while playing for Argentina in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers in late August. He felt discomfort during the 89-75 win over Puerto Rico and subsequently left the game against Canada in the second quarter without returning.
