In one of the most interesting games of the EuroLeague evening, Zeljko Obradovic’s return to the place where he worked wonders featured an intriguing detail.
Partizan hosted Panathinaikos at the Arena in a clash between Obradovic’s former and current clubs, and the Serbian coach received a warm welcome from the fans in Belgrade.
It is customary for Partizan to present a gift at center court to former players and coaches who have left a significant mark on the club, but that did not happen this time.
Obradovic was offered a gift, but he declined it, presumably because of the way the Serbian coach left the club last season and his relationship with Partizan’s management.
