Markus Howard has officially parted ways with Baskonia, as confirmed by the club on their social media, where they bid farewell to the shooter with an emotional message.
“The name of Markus Howard is now written forever in the history books of this club, which will always remember him with affection and wishes him the very best of luck in his personal and professional future.”
Howard spent four full seasons in Vitoria, and in the 2023/24 season, he led the EuroLeague with an average of 19.5 points. He was also the top scorer of the ACB league twice, and with Baskonia, he won the Copa del Rey in 2026.
His next destination will be Zenit Saint Petersburg, confirmed by VTB League. Howard signed a contract with Zenit until the summer of 2028.
