Panathinaikos announced that James Gist will continue wearing the “Green” jersey until 2019.
The American power forward has been a fan-favorite since his arrival in Panathinaikos on November 2012, following a trade with Unicaja Malaga that sent Andy Panko in Spain and brought Gist to OAKA.
Over these five years he has won the Greek League three times (2013, 2014, 2017) and the Greek Cup five times (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017).
During the 2016/2017 EuroLeague he averaged 8.5 points and 4.3 rebounds, despite struggling with an injury that kept him out for more more than half of the regular season.
