Τhe 31 years old assistant was promoted to head coach and also Slobodan Ljubotina will remain an assistant, fitness trainer Aleksandar Jovancevic is also keeping his job, while the medical staff will remain unchanged.

Alimpijevic started his career with Vojvodina as a player and then he became the head coach of Spartak Subotica and also of FMP.

As he said: “Given that this is now an official announcement, I take the opportunity to thank the people in the club and the president who took this decision. I am extremely aware of what the name of the Red Star means. I am satisfied to have the same staff who were with me in FMP – Slobodan Ljubotina, fitness trainer Aleksandar Jovancevic, as well as Milenko Topic, who will help us with his vast experience. We know which our goals are. We know that Zvezda must win. Therefore, we will thinking in that direction.”

It remains to be seen if the new version of Crvena Zvezda can keep the recent tradition of the team in EuroLeague, as the Serbian club was one of the pleasant surprises of the league during the last two seasons.
